Gender Equality and Economic Development in Sub-Saharan Africa

Sub-Saharan African economies are still grappling with economic scarring from the pandemic and the repercussions of several conflicts. The chapters of this book highlight the gains from gender equality; and note that empowering women and girls and putting a gender lens on policies to tackle challenges will be one of the most important solutions to solve the region’s development challenges.
